Role Focus

The role holder will work closely with the Business Development Manager based Moscow in supporting clients in Russia and acting as a local point of contact for all enquiries, problems, requests and basic troubleshooting support.  The successful candidate will be required to regularly visit client sites and ensure that users have access to the latest research products (online and desktop) coupled with the provision of introductory product training support.

The successful candidate will go through an induction process (up to 6 months) during which sales and new business development targets will be determined.

Key Targets and Responsibilities

• Assist the Business Development Manager with the placement of research and consulting services into the Russia client base
• Deliver sales of Upstream, Gas &amp; Power and Downstream products
• Development of sales opportunities with new clients within the broader CIS Region
• Engagement at the client user level to ensure retention and growth of the research subscription products
• Provision of introductory level product training and client support
• Development of sales opportunities with new clients in Russia (coal and metals segments) 
• Work with Marketing on response to leads within the area of responsibility
• Refer and co-ordinate timely responses to client enquiries with relevant business areas
• Support new product and service development launches and provide feedback on established products and services to relevant internal departments, e.g. Product Managers
• Ensure all relevant Business Pipeline and Client Management System entries and transactions are completed

Knowledge and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of the energy industry and knowledge of the kind of products and services that Wood Mackenzie develops and sells.  He/she would also ideally have 3+ years experience of working within a consultative sales environment and a demonstrable track-record versus challenging sales targets.  Fluent English (written and spoken) as well as native Russian is a pre-requisite for this role.
